Ambulatory Phlebectomy or stab phlebectomy removes larger, thicker surface varicose veins. These are the spongy, coiled veins just beneath the skin. Unlike traditional surgical techniques, microincisions are made to gently remove the undesired veins. The incisions are so small that stitches are not necessary and the incisions heal with virtually no scarring. Every patients’ veins are unique and sometimes are caused by an underlying condition called venous insufficiency. This condition is treated prior to your phlebectomy. Please consult with your provider.
